I inevitability a home remedy/recipe for bug repelent... my son and I are covered next to mosquito and sand flee bites!?

I looked up the ingredients in is avon's leading product SSS, and wonder if i can make a knock rotten of it... any idea how to return with that woodland fragrance that makes the bugs forget about you when you wear Skin-So-Soft?! Take left over dowel soap pieces, boil them in marine until they disolve, then use that as a bug spray. Much better and improved than poisons.
Insect & Mosquito Repellent Recipe:
10 drops of each of the following:
Geranium, Tea Tree, Lemongrass, Cedarwood, and Lavender.
Mix these near 1/2 teaspoon of Exuberance Conditioner and 1/2 cup water. Combine surrounded by a spray bottle and shake before use. Can be used on children, pets, and clothing.
OR
Ingredients are full strength oil:
Tea Tree Oil
Rosemary Oil
Sage Oil
Cedarwood Oil
Peppermint Oil
Orange Oil
Eucalyptus Oil
Citronella Oil
Pine Needle Oil
DIRECTIONS:
Mix 4-6 drops of each near 32 oz of any natural shampoo and in a minute you have a unconscious flea shampoo OR Mix 2-3 drops each beside 16 oz Water in a spray bottle. Shake until that time each
application and spray lantern over entire body.
A woodland fragrance...no. But would lemon be okay? All you need is to rub a lemon outer layer on your skin. (you might want to use the back of a butter blade to lightly rub it first to release the grease a bit...depends on how thick and tricky it is)The oil surrounded by the peel give insects the brush off. they do not close to it at all. Citronella candles endow with basically matching scent which is why bugs go away from areas where on earth they are lit. So you might light a few of those around any areas where on earth they are prevelent.
