the west Nile virus is traveled by mosquito's. likelihood are that if you get bitten by a mosquito it have the west Nile virus
Wikipedia is one of my favorite sources for info on-line.
FYI - West Nile is a very unsafe virus. My dad had it July 4, 2004. They are cognitive things more or less him that aren't quite duplicate. (He's OK though, not too damaged.)
